Master Your Mood
One of the most common, and most troublesome challenges in life is how to handle our emotions. For most of us, we were not taught how to do this. Rather, many of us learned instead to “tough it out,” “be strong,” “move on,” in other words, how to suppress our emotions and not deal with them. For an empath, whose natural inclination is to feel very deeply, suppressing emotions goes against our natural state of being.
I’ve been there and done that, and I have news for you – suppressing your emotions doesn’t work. While well intended, it can actually do more harm than good.
I am a Level II Practitioner (Instructor) of LifeForce Yoga®, a specialized form of yoga gathering wisdom from many traditions with the specific aim to manage depression and other mood disorders. Numerous studies now show that regular and consistent LFY practices can have positive impacts on improving mood for those suffering from depression, anxiety, and even PTSD.
We start by focusing on what’s right with you, then uncovering your true nature by removing the obstacles that block your path to emotional wellbeing.
Our method works through the body, the breath, imagery and sensation to access the physiological components of emotion to remove obstructions and obstacles to your joy, rather than focusing the mind on your story. We delve deep to “clean out the sewers.” I will tell you honestly, it’s not easy.That’s why I’m here to support you the whole way, creating a safe container for your feelings and emotions to nurture you through the process.
